Robotics and 3D Vision Group

The group is engaged in research in the fields of robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence where its members have so far published a number of scientific papers. Currently, the focus of the group is research on processing data obtained using a 3D camera, with applications in robotics and medicine.

Current areas of research:

  • Navigation of autonomous mobile systems using 3D cameras.
  • Recognition and localization of 3D objects in images obtained by a 3D camera in order to achieve flexible robot manipulation
  • Application of 3D cameras in medical diagnostics
  • Application of computer vision in agricultural automation

Goals:

  • Contribute to the development of science in the fields of robotics and computer vision by developing new methods and algorithms for processing images from 3D cameras with applications in industry and medicine.
  • Contribute to the development of the Croatian economy with innovative technical solutions and knowledge transfer of modern scientific achievements in the field of robotics and computer vision to Croatian companies.
